Facebook
Lead UX designer and researcher on Express Wi-Fi, an Internet.org Initiative for 18 months. I conducted user research in more than five countries in Africa in order to gain a deeper understanding of user perceptions, attitudes and behaviour when interacting with the Express Wi-Fi products. Following this research I was involved in a design sprint with product and marketing teams at Facebook’s HQ in Silicon Valley, providing input on research we conducted in Africa. These insights were used by the design team to build the Express Wi-Fi products. I collaborated with teams based in four countries around the world to design and develop wireframes and high fidelity prototypes which we tested during subsequent usability tests with real users.

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Led the design and development of a healthcare tool for patients with critical illnesses, specifically HIV and TB. The digital tool would provide a consolidated view of the patients medical history from various data repositories which the patient and healthcare worker would have access to in order to improve patient care. I championed the in-depth interviews with HIV patients and the development of personas and user journeys which provided rich insights needed to design and develop the first iteration of the product.
